Haven of Hope Global Ministries is a Christ-centered nonprofit that has served orphaned and vulnerable children in Zambia and Uganda for 20 years. We provide education, physical care, and Christian discipleship, and we work with local churches and communities. We are hiring an Executive Director to be our chief executive. You will report to the Board of Directors and lead strategy, fundraising, finances, programs, communications, and staff. You will also build relationships with donors, churches, and our ministry partners in Zambia and Uganda.
What you'll do in your first year
- Work with the Board to put the strategic plan into action and report to them regularly on progress. - Build and run a fundraising plan that covers individual donors, child sponsorships, church partnerships, grants, campaigns, and events. - Work with partners in Zambia and Uganda on program budgets, ways to measure results, and impact reports for donors. - Make sure financial controls, regulatory compliance, and child safety practices are sound and followed. - Lead our staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers, and serve as our main voice in donor updates, digital media, and church presentations.
What you need
- Agreement with our statement of faith and core values. - A record of raising money from donors, churches, foundations, or grants. - Experience leading a team and managing operations at a nonprofit, ministry, or mission-based organization. - Ability to travel in the U.S. and internationally as needed. - Willingness to complete background checks and child safety clearances.
